GrowFL has named Pro-Tec Plumbing & Drains as a finalist in its 2021 Companies to Watch program, which recognizes growing companies headquartered in Florida.
Founded in 2008 by brothers Richard and Brandon Hume, Pro-Tec is a premier, full-service water system organization serving residential and commercial customers in Collier and Lee counties. The Naples-based company installs and repairs toilets, plumbing fixtures, water heaters, garbage disposals and water filtration systems. Additional services include leak detection, repiping, drain cleaning and sewer inspections.
“GrowFL honors emerging, innovative Florida companies that are excelling in their respective industries, so to be named a finalist is quite an accomplishment,” said Pro-Tec President Richard Hume. “Since day one, we have followed our ‘Pro-Tec Promise’ to provide quality plumbing and superior service with honest pricing.”
“For contractors, establishing and maintaining your reputation as a trustworthy, ethical business is the single most-important factor in growth,” added Brandon Hume, who serves as vice president. “Over the past five years, Pro-Tec has tripled its number of employees to handle the surge in requests for service across the region.”
Developed by the Edward Lowe Foundation, GrowFL’s Companies to Watch program honors second-stage companies that are developing valuable products and services, creating quality jobs, enriching communities and broadening new industries throughout Florida. GrowFL defines second-stage companies as those with six to 150 full-time employees that report $750,000 to $100 million in annual revenue.
Now in its 11th year, GrowFL has celebrated the accomplishments of 500 Florida entrepreneurs, business owners and their teams. Pro-Tec is one of 81 finalists vying for recognition as a 2021 GrowFL Company to Watch.
GrowFL will announce 50 winners in October and celebrate honorees during a gala in February.
